Eagling’s Southern Building Surveying specialise in domestic construction, including Class 1 & 10 proposals. We cannot assist with commercial proposals.

Our Process

Initially we will assess the plans for each proposal against the Building Act, the Building Code of Australia and Schedule One of the Director’s Specified List, which specifies the minimum level of information and detail that shall form part of the documentation for the project. It is important that you have a designer who has a good understanding of these documents. The Director’s specified list can be found here.

Eagling's Southern Building Surveying use thorough record keeping procedures including photographic and video records, and detailed checklists during building inspections. For example, an inspection for occupancy on a medium sized house may take up to one hour. A written report is always provided to the client, and to the builder. We will spend the necessary time on site to undertake a comprehensive assessment and give careful consideration to risk minimisation of the next stage of works. We provide crucial and clear instructions to ensure any non-compliance matters are addressed properly.
